My tiny tidbit about Labor Day Weekend. This weekend we honor the contributions and sacrifices made by those who sought a healthier, safer work environment in addition to a living wage and more family time... No more 12 hour days as a human robot (something they didn't have back then). No more sending the toddlers off to factories for morsels of a paycheck. Labor Day was no easy holiday to obtain. With the labor movement pushing for quality time off, legislators finally found their hands forced to sign it into federal law by the end of the 19th century. The workforce looks very different these days, most things do. So let's celebrate well deserved progress. Let's gather with friends and family and have some fun. Let's celebrate what has been passed down through generations of "the hard working common man" never giving up so that we today can enjoy the fruits of our labor. Or let's just sit back and relax for three straight days. A three day weekend is a great time for slowing down and absorbing what life truly has to offer. Be safe out there, and don't burn your weenies on the grill!
