Study Season Is Open

Early bedtimes, early mornings, crowded hallways, and new friends we haven't made yet. Back to school season can bring a bit of stress to any household whether it's first day of kindergarten or last year of grad school. When debating the short list of products to help with first day jitters and long term immune boosting (because, Yay more germs!) we have to consider a wide array of circumstance and surroundings. For instance, KleenHandz is a hand gel that I have used on my children since my daughter's first day of pre-k. She is starting her junior year of college this month and I still make sure she has it. As long as we used it consistently (just a couple of drops daily) we never had an issue with the flu virus coming home. My youngest child battled extremely painful eczema outbreaks on her hands due to the constant use of hand sanitizers during the days of covid when schools were letting kids back in . The school faculty was kind enough to let us substitute for alcohol based sanitizers and anti-bacterial school soap with the KleenHandz gel. She will still be toting it to her first day of 8th grade this year. Time flies.

Why KleenHandz hand gel can be a great addition to your preventative wellness kit? We can’t legally call KleenHandz a hand sanitizer, because according to the FDA, that would be making a drug claim. So we call it “KleenHandz” instead! We’ve taken the ingredients of our MERCY Treatment Gel, a leave-on aloe-based gel, containing Lavender and Tea Tree oils in a precise dilution proven in the lab to kill MRSA bacteria. To that, we have added a generous portion of our Ravintsara, to keep the gel gentle enough for children. The gel absorbs quickly, leaving the hands soft. The aroma is brisk and a trifle medicinal, with a lingering scent reminiscent of Eucalyptus (from the 1,8-cineole in the Ravintsara). I suspect inhaling it as I sit here typing is doing wonderful things for my immune system.

Other useful aromatherapy tools for Sale of the Month:

This gentle blend of Helichrysum italicuum (anti-inflamatory), German Chamomile CO2 (more anti-inflammatory), Manuka (strong but gentle anti-bacterial action), Lavender (the best all around skin care healer I know of), and Geranium (for sebum balancing). The clients who have tried this synergy (in various modalities) are reporting wonderful results.

A wonderful study blend, good for the desk, refreshing for mental fatigue, yet not as physically stimulating as Fog Cutter. Best diffused, in inhaler, or piece of aromatic jewelry

Destress Synergy Relaxing, soothing and revitalizing stress reliever
Energizing White Grapefruit, pain relieving and relaxing Lavender, and gently warming Coriander. Not a “go to sleep” blend, but a relaxant.

Open the sealed packet, peel the sticky patch from the plastic liner and apply to the chest or pajama collar. The adhesive is a hypoallergenic hydro-gel.

SleepEase Synergy A sweetly citrus scented blend of Lavandin Super (more relaxing than Lavandula angustifolia, according to Dr. Jane Buckle), Sweet Marjoram, Green Mandarine (our most relaxing citrus oil) and Roman Chamomile. It doesn’t SMELL like it would put you to sleep, but everyone was yawning the day we poured it.

Reunite Synergy A warm blend of calming Neroli, grounding Vetiver, uplifting Bitter Orange, with touches of Sandalwood, Petitgrain, and Frankincense. Soothe feelings of anxiety with a Reunité bath, or scent your surroundings and yourself with its calming essence. A personal inhaler or anointing oil are our choices.

Headache Relief Roll-on kit The two most commonly recommended oils to ease the perception of pain from a headache, even from a migraine, are Lavender and Peppermint. If you suffer specifically from Sinus Headaches, please see our SineEase suite of products, best used by inhalation.
